Me
Hi! I'm Will.
I'm an architect-turned-product manager. I'm passionate about the intersection of technology, business & economics, and the building industry. Most of my career has been in product for various startups related to the building industry.
In my spare time I read (mostly non-fiction), build small apps, and play volleyball.
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and went to school in New Haven, CT, so I'm a huge pizza snob.
Experience
Most recently, I was a Group Product Manager in charge of Builder Technology for **Block Renovation,** where I launched Block’s original mobile app for contractors, revamped the homeowner-facing web experience, as well as helped grow the product and engineering organization through hiring, mentorship, and establishing best practices.
Prior to that, I was a Product Manager on the Real Estate and Development Technology team at WeWork from 2015-2019, developing internal software for the real estate and architecture teams. I helped the company grow from about 30 locations to over 600 across over 20 countries in the four and a half years that I was there.
Writing
I recently started a weekly newsletter called Built Stuff. Each issue will focus on a relevant topic in-depth (~500 words or so) and also highlight any cool finds from around the internet that I’ve discovered in the last two weeks. Topics will largely draw from my career as a product manager in various startups related to the building industry, my architectural background and training, and the highs and lows of being a life-long New Yorker and city-dweller.
If any of that interests you, please check it out and subscribe!
With Me
I am currently available for product consulting and/or custom software development projects. If you are an early-stage startup with a focus on real estate, construction, or design technology for the built environment, please reach out to discuss opportunities for us to work together!
